About us
A statewide team. One stubborn belief.
That every adult, autistic or otherwise, deserves a home that’s theirs and work that means something — and that the gap between today and that life is closeable if you have someone walking with you.
Our story
It started with what we kept seeing.
Two of our co-founders have spent most of their lives working with autistic children and adults. Over the years they kept hitting the same wall: across North Carolina, there was almost nowhere for the adults they cared about to find affordable, accessible housing of their own.
The support that did exist was thin and hard to navigate, and it often dried up once someone aged out of school-based services — leaving families without a real plan for what came next.
So rather than wait for someone else to fix it, they decided to act. They started Inclusive Solutions to close that gap — one home at a time.
What we believe
Four principles that shape every decision.

Choice is the point.
Independence without choice is just isolation. Every person we work with picks their own apartment, their own job path, and their own pace. We provide options, not assignments.

Presence over programs.
What works long-term is a phone number people will actually call when something goes wrong at 9pm on a Tuesday. Programs end. We don’t.

Dignity is default.
We speak with our members, never about them. Every meeting includes the person whose life it concerns. Every plan is co-written.

Families are partners.
Parents who’ve advocated for twenty years know things no caseworker can replicate. We listen, we collaborate, and we make sure plans hold up at home.
